Connie Palacioz, born in January 1925, was an original Rosie the Riveter. She stands proudly with DOC, a B-29 Bomber which she helped with restoration efforts starting in 2000. The plane resides in this hangar as the centerpiece of the DOC museum in Wichita, KS. The plane tours the country annually. The museum honors many individuals, but Connie was inducted as their inaugural honoree.
Connie continues to volunteer at the hangar periodically, In January of 2026 there was a celebration for Connie’s 101st birthday with hundreds of locals and family members that went into the wee hours of the night.
